Since is first opened in 1993, Southern National Raceway Park in Kenly has been one of the region's premier short tracks. "When we went to Southern National in 2006 we'd an outstanding race," said Mayberry. "The lead replaced all day every day understanding that race became us that PASS South could possibly hold the legs to become a success. I recently loved the track, nevertheless for reasons yet unknown i was not able to put things together to acquire another race there."

In the years following PASS's stop by at Southern National, track owner and former racer Kirk Leone made significant capital improvements for the fourtenths mile facility including repaving the track, paving the infield, erecting a whole new scoreboard and public address system, and constructing new buildings about the property. And, although the track has sat idle this coming year, Leone continues to make upgrades because he efforts to sell Southern National.

"We've had a brand-new sewer system and possess done plenty of try to the track to arrange for that PASS race as well as any potential customers on the market," said Leone. "The track is great and this will be considered a steal for whoever buys it. I recently do not have the time and energy to devote to it i should so that it is a success. I'm glad PASS is coming into place on this show and I know our fans are searching toward it simply because they love their racing right here at Southern National."

PASS South has put added increased exposure of the Southern National 150 by causing it among only four races inside the PASS National Series.

The PASS National Series includes four events obtained from the PASS North and PASS South schedules that can help to find out a total PASS National Champion. The Southern National 150 is going to be race # 3 of the PASS National Series and it is anticipated to attract the superior Super Late Models from around the world. Moreover, former Southern National regulars including John Batten, "Big" Jim Kelley, and Shelton McNair have expressed their intention revisit their old stomping grounds.
